Showers and thunderstorms are developing across the Northeast ahead of a cold front. Low level moisture advection and daytime heating will allow for the development of thunderstorms. As thunderstorms develop, damaging winds will be the main concern. Eventually, individual cells will merge into line segments, enhancing the damaging wind potential.
