Thunderstorms are developing across the High Plains ahead of an upper level trough over the Rockies. Plentiful low level moisture, daytime heating, and forcing from the trough will allow for the development of thunderstorms, some of which may become severe. Hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
