There will be three systems over the next 7-8 days that could bring wintry precipitation to portions of the Plains. The first system will move into the Plains on Sunday.

Ahead of this system, temperatures across much of the Central Plains will be below freezing. With moisture in place, precipitation will be in the form of snow across much of the Plains, but for portions of Southern Oklahoma and Northern Texas, precipitation will begin as freezing rain before transitioning to sleet and then snow. Ice accumulations could range between a tenth and a quarter inch of ice. Snow accumulations will range from 1-3 inches.

Another system will move out of the Rockies and into the Plains Monday night, bringing snow to a large portion of the Plains Monday night into Tuesday morning.
