Winter Weather in MN, WI & MI

by WeatherOps, on Jan 15, 2014 11:29:17 AM

1/15/14: A strong low and trough in central Canada slowly moving southeast into the US will allow for some snowfall in Minnesota through Wisconsin and Michigan, but amounts should remain low, between 1-3 inches. However, concern remains for blizzard conditions, as wind gusts could potentially max out at 65 mph in some areas, causing extremely reduced visibilities and blowing snow. Meanwhile, a low to the north of New York will allow for spotty light mixed winter precipitation in the northeast, but once again accumulations are expected to be negligible. -Written by CG & SM
