Coaches AidNorman, OK, February 16, 2011 – Weather industry leader Weather Decision Technologies, Inc., (WDT) is partnering with Coaches Aid and Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Oklahoma to provide live streaming video to the nation’s high schools.

Coaches Aid will be deploying WDT’s “state-of-the-science” iMap technology to provide participating schools with the ability to live stream not only weather maps relevant to their respective campuses, but live games, graduations and school events online.

Additionally, WDT’s award winning iMap location-based mobile application will allow school administrators to make real time decisions with regards to emerging weather conditions that could affect games both on the road and at home.

“Schools that have been exposed to the iMap technology are excited that fans, family and friends that cannot be in attendance for games and school events will have the opportunity to view them remotely,” said Mike Eilts, President and CEO of WDT.

“As a national provider of high school sports related news and services, Coaches Aid has identified WDT’s weather prediction technology as a key asset to high school athletic directors and coaches looking to keep their athletes safe and secure during times of potentially hazardous weather conditions,” said Bradley Fehn, CEO of Coaches Aid.

Schools may also participate in a revenue stream provided to them by virtue of being able to sell advertising to local businesses during the online broadcasts.

Any school administrators or athletic directors interested in more information on this new technology and how they can involve their school may contact Mert van Fredenberg at: (580) 938-1420 for more information.
